A neighborhood bakery’s website, run from the counter.

The problem
Renata Café & Pastries is a family-run Brazilian bakery on Beale Street in Wollaston, a short walk from the Red Line. Before the café, Renata spent years making custom cakes and party sweets, and all of it lived on Instagram and TikTok.
A bakery’s menu changes by the hour: things sell out, prices move, hours shift for holidays. The owner works the counter and is most comfortable in Portuguese, so the site had to be something they could keep current from a phone in a few seconds, not a desktop dashboard.
What I built
A phone admin in Portuguese and English
Staff sign in on their phone, mark items sold out, change prices and sizes, and snap a new photo with the camera. Changes show on the site right away.
One menu, everywhere on the site
The menu page, the homepage “in the case today” shelves and the visit page’s first-visit picks all come from the same menu. Sold-out items drop off on their own.
Custom cakes, shown off
A filterable gallery of 24 of Renata’s real cakes, plus an order ticket that writes the text or Instagram message for the customer.
Hours and details Google can read
Hours and holiday closures are set in the admin and flow to every page and to the bakery’s structured data, along with directions from the Red Line and buses.
